"What makes Alice Wu's debut so pleasurable is its easy rhythms, its sly juxtapositions, and its relaxed but funny performances. A generous straight man, Krusiec gives the film emotional heft...."---Slate

Public Service Announcements for Burma
Tuesday, May 27, 2008

I was recently asked to participate in a Worldwide Campaign, Burma it Can't Wait. Thirty spots featuring various artists, celebrities and topics are being presented as a month of raising international awareness on Burma. If you are unaware of the egregious human and civil right abuses taking place in Burma, please educate yourselves and help increase public awareness about Burma. Many of you are aware of the cyclone which hit Burma recently, but if you are unaware of the political turmoil which embroils this country, please take a moment to learn about the reasons for this campaign, BURMA IT CAN'T WAIT.

The spot I participated in was directed by Timothy Linh Bui (Three Seasons, Green Dragon) and produced by United Front's Michael Abbott. I was proud to be a part of it and hope it will galvanize your interest and care on the matter.

Below is a message from the producer.

New from United Front...
I would like to invite you to watch our latest PSA for Burma starring Michelle Krusiec (Day 25) and directed by hyper-talented Timothy Linh Bui.

This particular PSA was shot prior to the recent cyclone and it addresses the inhumane issues that have plagued the people of Burma for years... in this case Water Torture.
Burmese soldiers practice a kidnapping, called "The Midnight Knock", where they cart away Human Rights Activists in the middle of the night from their homes and torture them... one technique used is water torture. At first, the water feels like nothing, but after a few minutes it feels like BOMBS exploding inside your skull.
This campaign has already created awareness and united front is very proud to be a part of it.

Please also see our other Burma PSA's including the Kardashian's, Jason Biggs and Steven Seagal.

Kim Kardashian & her sisters (Day 24)
Jason Biggs and Jenny Malone (Day 3)
Steven Seagal (Day 19)

COMING NEXT WEEK... OUR FINAL TWO PSA'S: DAMIAN MARLEY & TILA TEQUILA

Thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Burma.
Thanks for your support and big thanks to the cast and crews for each of these PSA's!

New Website Makeover
Sunday, May 18, 2008

Halleluja, the new website has a makeover and we have ONLY Duong to thank! Duong, please take your bows, give us a shout out and tell us how much sleep you missed and how you tried to coincide the new site with the release of What Happens in Vegas! You are indispensable. I am really blessed to have such amazing fans. Duong has done this purely out of volunteerism and I can't tell you how much patience she's had through this whole process. I think she's catching up on some zzzzs now. There's a couple more additions that will be included to the site so check back periodically as the whole thing will be up and running fairly soon.

Hugs and Kisses to Duong!

Love,
michelle
