Michelle Krusiec

"What makes Alice Wu's debut so pleasurable is its easy rhythms, its sly juxtapositions, and its relaxed but funny performances. A generous straight man, Krusiec gives the film emotional heft...."---Slate

Thanks to phoebe who found this link: http://www.turbojethorizon.com/2009/01/ice-maiden-thaws/

The article is about Michelle's performance in Far North. There's an English button on the upper right hand corner for English fans!

PS. Michelle has a little trouble reading Mandarin, so if you make a Shout Out to Michelle, try to translate it into English if possible. She would like to understand what you say to her. :)

I've translated a few Shout Outs here. I have limited Mandarin skills so please forgive me for any inconsistencies.

(I'm looking forward to your new works)
(Recently, Lynn Chen has many new performances and we can go watch them! She fits into comedies very well.)
(When can I see the new movie?)
(You are great! I like you a lot!)
.J. "加油!愿Michelle开心" (Do your best! Have fun Michelle!)
.J. "我要努力看懂,我很喜欢你,我们会一直支持你的,愿你快乐" (I hope you understand me. I like you and will always support you. I wish for your happiness)

lovely getting letters from you guys over there!!! I hope my travels
or film projects bring me in that direction very soon.

Enjoyed the Yelle concert last night
Friday, March 13, 2009

I went to the Yelle concert last night. It was one of the most
energized concerts I've been to in a LONG time. The audience was
incredible and the music was soooo -- irresistible. Yelle is french
pop with this kind of energy and bounce that is so delightful, she had
everyone in the audience making heart symbols with their hands during
one song. I have to admit, I couldn't believe people were making
heart symbols at a concert at the El Rey of all places. If you
haven't heard some YELLE. Buy it, download it...then kick everyone
out of the house and dance in the living room with some sunglasses.
The entire album flies by and is completely worth the humiliation of
being silly and indulgent. You will find yourself making a heart
symbol with your hands and smiling!

Pilot Season in LA
Tuesday, March 03, 2009

It's been awhile since I've blogged. Apologies. It's pilot season in
LA so everyone is scrambling to get on the next big hit show!

Last night, I went to see Candis Cayne perform her Monday night show
at the Abbey. There were a few Dirty Sexy Money cast and crew who
came out to support Candis - you all remember her from season 1,
right? She played Billy Baldwin's mistress during season one.
Anyway, Candis was pretty damn phenomenal last night. She has no fear
on stage and is one of the sexiest performers I've seen in a long
time. So, if you're in LA, go and check her out. You will not be
disappointed.

Peace. I love Barack Obama!
